Video projection on the surface of moving water Video 4 min, realized alredy in cuvette 120/70 cm (might be biger size) with water, water filtration pump (optional), 2019
According to many cognitive theories, creativity is the only human, personal and mysterious component of our « Self ». Hypothetically, psychological “Self” is a combination of conscious and unconscious ideas about reality ; intuition, dreams, associations are windows into the unconscious “Self” and source of créative impulses. Perhaps, these are our personal paths, orienting us to the elusive modern labyrinths of virtual revolutions. The density of social networks as well as the quantity and quality of virtual dimension are rapidly increasing ; stream of news in which reality and facts do not differ from fake; rating systems that change the familiar social connections are all absorbed by the modern Self, transforming the relations between the conscious and the unconscious, the rational and the irrational.
The video installation / Unforeseen Obligation YX7913XY / is a reflection on the violation of sensory boundaries and the difference between our perception of the digital-virtual and real world. Bird quench its thirst only by destroying the surface of the water. We can certainly quench our thirst for knowledge in the virtual world, where there is no violation of sensory-physical boundaries. But cognition of contemporary virtuality might not engage all our sensory systems.
Is violation of sensory boundaries necessary for stumulation of that deep unconscious association, which, perhaps, is the impulse for our creativity and self-expression? What role does creativity play in interpreting the life process in the era of virtual revolutions? Is creativity still revealing our unconscious for various interactions with any external worlds and their transformations?

According to the original concepts of Ancient Greek philosophy, cosmos is the idea of order in a closed, limited space, while chaos is the idea of disorder in an unlimited space. Therefore, artists are constantly forced to play with the idea of disorder in the sense of endlessness, and give it a final form.
Natalia Lyakh’s video triptych is the artist’s experiment with disordered images, which she gives a limit through editing — a harmony that is based either on fragments of cut movements, or on reverse playback. This is the transformation of chaotic reality into its inevitably limited form through aesthetic metamorphoses — perhaps this is the imagination that Oscar Wilde mentioned in “The Picture of Dorian Gray”. “Actual life,” he wrote, “was chaos, but there was something terribly logical in the imagination.”

VIDEOINSTALLATION /
Video projection on the water surface
The artist explores and interprets the transformation of the water and in the water, considering that the various mythologies of water is the initial state of all things, the source of life, and is also associated with the unconscious. In the depths of the waters of hidden knowledge, which is difficult (or impossible) to get for man, this knowledge is available for fish. The ancient Semitic god named the form of fish bore the name of Dagon, which means “fish”, “guardian” or “Messiah.”
